Healing for Chardon Benefit Concert

On Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 5:00 p.m., Mega Church will be sponsoring a Benefit Concert for the families of the victims of the Chardon High School shooting. Part of the mission of Mega Church is “to reach out to every segment of the community” and “to bring restoration to the family.” In this time of sadness, we would like to bring comfort to the families who have suffered and lost in this horrific tragedy. We understand that no community is exempt from these types of events; however it is our responsibility to respond when necessary for we ARE our brother’s keeper.
Through uplifting singing and words of encouragement by members of the community from law enforcement, media, and government, we will seek to raise awareness amongst the general community as well as the surrounding communities about escalating violence in schools. Although we still do not know what the primary driving force behind the shootings was, the issues of bullying and emotional instability have been voiced in connection to this tragedy. These issues will be addressed and helpful information will be given on how to deal with these issues in our high school students.
