Mega School of Theology

MISSION

To provide a structured training vehicle for the certification of new ministers in the five-fold gifts, grounded in and affirming the theology of Mega Church.

History

Bishop Luther J. Blackwell, Jr. founded Mega School of Theology  in 2003   The mission of the school is to provide a training ground for those called to the Five-fold Ministries.  On February 1, 2003 and February 5, 2003, the Winter 2003 Session commenced with the first two classes, entitled “Biblical Hermeneutics” and “Pastoral Leadership I”, respectively. These classes were taught by Dean Linda Holt.  Subsequently, Minister Constance Browning, and Tina Holt joined as faculty members on April 26, 2003 and the school grew in enrollment and staff.  The classes were originally held in the Mega Church meeting rooms and the Church Sanctuary. Classes moved to the Mega Church Annex on Prame Avenue in August 2004.  In February 2005, the first Spanish-language class, Hermeneutica Biblica, was offered and taught by Felix Muniz.  The Mega School of Theology Inaugural Commencement Ceremony was held on June 4, 2005 in the Mega Church sanctuary.  Seven graduates were presented.  The Commencement Speaker was Bishop Luther J. Blackwell, Jr., Founder.  Online classes were offered in 2010 and a Self Study program began in 2011.  Enrollment is open to all, members and non-members of Mega Church.

Mega School of Theology Crest

The Mega School of Theology Crest was conceived within the context of the Mission and Vision of Mega Church and its theme of Kingdom and Restoration.  The symbols represented are as follows:

Ark (Covenant) –Throne and presence of God among his people; Symbol of Christ in Humanity and Deity

Crown – Symbol of eternal life, Rulership, Kingdom

Scroll – Symbol of Divine Revelation; God’s Book, the Bible

Staff – Symbol of strength, guidance

Prophetic Ministry

A series of lectures on the difference between Prophets and Prophecy. A true prophet and a false prophet, how to walk in Prophetic Ministry. As Apostle Paul stated to Timothy, “Timothy my son, in accordance with the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you fight the good fight”. (1 Tim 1:18)

Instructor: Dr. Linda Holt

This self-study class will assist the student in gaining an in-depth understanding of the power that is released and can be released through the Apostolic Model of Ministry operating in individuals, homes, and churches. Two in-class sessions will supplement the Self-Study curriculum.
