2009 - GOD’S APPOINTED TIME

I have reminded you of this scripture throughout the year, and I find it so befitting to stir your memories with it once again as we look over the year 2009 that will so soon be considered history.

Ps 102:13-- You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favor her, Yes, the appointed time, has come.

However, the year has not escaped us without God manifesting Himself to us in so many ways that will cause praise to crescendo as we are ushered in to the year 2010.

This year we have seen our ministry expand from Cleveland’s near West Side to Panama and throughout Colombia and the Dominican Republic.  Invitations are currently being considered for all of the countries visited plus many, many more.

To help us get the Gospel of Jesus Christ out transcending the language barrier, the Lord has so graciously helped us not only to release two new books—“Power To Get Wealth” and “It’s In the Fish’s Mouth—but also to release them in Spanish. (We look forward to the release of “Heritage of the Black Believer” in Spanish as well).

Thanks to Mega’s E-Church we can be seen on YouTube, and befriended on Facebook and Twitter. [And just wait for what MEGA 2010 holds].

Hand ‘N Hand Kids Kare Center graduated the largest class since its inception, and made us proud as it consistently demonstrated the spirit of excellence throughout the year. Let’s take the time to say here that our Family Ministries (Children, Youth, Women, and Men) have beena tremendous blessing to all who have participated.

Our Teens are experiencing renewed enthusiasm as we have expanded its program to the gym at the Community Care Network every other Tuesday night. Because of its popularity, this may soon turn into a weekly event. (Stay tuned.)

The words of Jesus are taking shape as we are expanding our outreach to the community through the recently-dedicated facility—Mega’s RESOURCE CENTER.

Matt 25:35-36 35 For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. 36 I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.'

Under the direction of Mega’s very fine deacons and the assistance given by our attendants and volunteers, this service offered will hopefully be second to none on Cleveland’s West Side. Speaking of “prison”, how can we forget those who have faithfully ministered to the incarcerated throughout this year. Even our music ministry made its first appearance inside prison walls.

These are just a few things that we have watched God do this year. But obviously, He’s not done yet. Here we are at year’s end, and that which we have long awaited has finally come, and that is, the two phenomenal musical projects entitled, “Appointed Time” and “The Movement” as recorded by our award-winning music program featuring The Voices and Rhythmic Sounds of Mega.

It is my prayer that these sounds shall fill the airways and countless homes, bringing hope, joy and laughter over the holiday seasons and throughout the new year(s) to come. We certainly believe that God has favored us and granted this “Appointed Time” to bless us, and most of all, to be a blessing to the countless thousands around the globe.
